agreed. the best movie theater.
Really good seating, with lots of room, armrests that can be moved up for closer snuggling with your honey, caramel popcorn, 21-and-over movie showings where you can take a drink from the bar into the theater with you, really good sound and showing quality. The joys of assigned seatings, and being able to order really good seats at 4pm and show up 5 minutes before it starts for your really-good seats. :o)
No Coke Commercials!
If you live in LA and appreciate movies, there is simply no better choice of movie theaters. Arclight is new, large, has stadium seating, digital projection/sound, etc. It is conveniently located in Hollywood and has a huge parking lot. Arclight has the Cinerama Dome for A-level movies; they typically display lots of props and costumes from at least one movie playing there. Over the last few years, I have nearly completely shifted all of my movie ticket purchases to the Arclight. Arclight has an affinity points system, so it's worth signing up for the freebies. The restaurant and gift/book store are OK for killing time before/after a movie but I wouldn't go there otherwise. AND...Special age 21 plus screenings with alcohol but without kids.

Plan ahead when you want to see a film at the Arc light! This theater is only 4 miles from my home, but if I don't know by 5 pm which movie I want to see I don't even bother. Tickets for many mid evening shows are often sold out (or you are sitting directly in front of the screen) hours before the show time. If you do get a ticket, good luck parking. STESSFUL!!! went on a date there. very little kids presence. staff was nice. really clean and cool look to it. loved it. prices a little high but i wasn't paying so that was cool.

It is official. I can't see a movie anywhere else now. Nowhere in the city can you get a "civilized "movie-going experience like you can at Arclight Hollywood. I went to the Grove and Chinese 6 recently to see films that weren't screening at Arclight and the experience there was horrid -- patrons either wouldn't stop talking, they'd keep getting up and down during the "slow parts" of the film and ...
